My friend Katherine gave birth to her little boy today at 12:57 pm. He weight 8 pounds and 2 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. She was over a week past her due date, so she was induced this morning; all in all a short labor, but she had to push for two hours! Congratulations Katherine and Thomas!!! I can't wait to see pictures!

OK, so I said I wouldn't write anything, but I think I might be feeling the bambino moving. I have been having weird sensations for the past week now, and I can't quite figure out what it is. Is it even possible to feel your baby moving this early? And, if this is the baby moving that I feel, then I am slightly encouraged. So far, baby #2 is a lot more gentle than our little Emmie ever was. She started out kicking and punching and never calmed down.

OK, so technically I haven't gotten to my thirteenth week yet, but I'm including it for the sake of telling you all that I am not going to write anymore about what is going on until I go to my first appointment with my midwife. There's not really much going on, so I figure it isn't worth writing about. I'm just getting bigger, yea!!!!

During this past week Emmaline started walking all on her own!!! One day after David had left for work Emmaline let go of our bed, walked out of our bedroom, turned the corner into our hallway and walked all the way to our stone room. I couldn't believe it! David almost cried when he saw her walking, and Lucia was the same.

I don't have my camera with me right now, so I can't post a video. As soon as I get it back I'll have one up.

David and I took Henry and Sophie to an IG rescue yesterday. David and I both had conflicting emotions about this decision. On the one hand we both loved these dogs, maybe me a bit more so, but on the other the time and attention they required was just getting to be too much. With our second baby on the way, we both agreed that taking care of them and all the messes they made was just going to be too much for me to handle on my own. Plus, I would be too busy to give them the attention they would need.

I have been going between weepy and relieved today. I still look for them when I walk into other rooms, and expect them to be hiding in our bed or underneath a blanket somewhere. It's going to take a while for me to get used to their absence. Oh, I'm going to cry. I can't write anymore.

Congratulations to my friend CJ, whose wife is expecting!!! Yea!!! He and his enchantingly beautiful wife Chiara got married last year, and now she is about three weeks behind me in her pregnancy.

I'm so happy for the both of you, since you will be experiencing the love, joy and wonder of parenthood! Congratulations again!

Not much going on. Waiting to feel the baby move. Not feeling sick anymore! Yea!
