Emmaline's Hair-Do
I put Emmaline's hair up in pigtails for the first time ever in her life!!! I am so not the type of person to fuss over her hair. However, I realized today that her hair is actually quite long, long enough to put up, so I gave it a shot. The first side went well, the second wasn't so smooth! Oh well! The picture taking wasn't so easy either. Here are some of the salvagable photos I took in an effort to get the decent ones up above! Oh, my little girl is growing up so quickly! She's going to be two soon....sniff sniff...
PS:
In case you are wondering, that's blackberry juice all over her face.
Week 37/38
So, a bit of a PS here:
I forgot to mention that my second GBS test came back negative, so that is a big sigh of relief for us.
Also, I have gained 30 pounds so far. I gained almost 40 with Emmaline, so it will be interesting to see if I put on as much this time around!

Week 37/38
I went for my 38 week appointment today. I asked my midwife about how big I was measuring since the past two appointments I had been measuring three weeks behind. She said I was measuring two weeks behind this time around, which she thinks means my due date is off, at least by a week, since I have been consistantly measuring behind. Complete and total bummer!!!
On the positive side, Amy (the midwife) did say she felt comfortable with how big Ian is actually measuring and the possibility of my delivering him soon wasn't a concern to her! Yea!! So, I am still trying my best not to get my hopes up and to keep my mind on other things. I'll have knitting projects galore to distract me, plus Emmaline.

Emmaline's Meltdowns
Last Saturday was just a series of meltdowns for Emmaline. Everything upset her and neither David nor I could figure out what was making her so moody. After finally getting fed up with her whininess I told her, "Emmaline, go to your room and take a chill pill!" Which, much to our surprise, she promptly did. She ran to her room and came back a few minutes later much calmer. I thought this absolutely hilarious!
Last night David was giving Emmaline a bath, which she really enjoys until it comes to getting her hair wet. She whined and cried and fussed while David laid her down to rinse out her hair. When he pulled her back up she immediately stopped fussing and in her most angelicly sweet voice said, "All done!" I also found this hilarious! She can turn it on and turn it off just as quickly!
Here are some not too recent pictures of Emmaline. I didn't realize I hadn't posted them up yet.
